dead cats can be major characters. Spottedleaf is more important dead than she was alive! Just because she'll be a main character doesn't mean she's still alive.

It may sound silly to most people, but I think that Holly managed to escape and meet up with Sol. Most people seem to forget that when ever we were reading through her point of view and Sol showed up, she always had an inner-monologue on how charming he was. She also can be found constantly giving him the benefit of the doubt, and defending his reasons. While she didn't like how he ruined Shadowclan, recently she feels deeply betrayed by The Code. So perhaps she might even agree with Sol's attempts to do away with the system. After all, it never did her any good in the long run. |

Did u read the second to late post on the previous page. If she/ he is telling the truth and they did talk to Erins' that means Hollyleaf is ALIVE!

NOT CONFIRMED. I think that most of the evidence points to her being dead. And I never understood HollyxSol. To each their own, I guess.

not secretly alive!!!!!! Eh.
Anyways, I don't really think Holly is alive, I don't even like her that much even though I kind of understand her (emo LOL)
And I do remember the HollyxSol stuff in Sunrise! I was shocked when ppl thought NO WAY when it basically pointed out Holly had feelings of charm for Sol!

hollyleaf can be alive. in the fourth apprentice {spoiler warning} after jayfeather and honeyfern won against brokentail and breezepelt, jayfeather never saw hollyleaf among the cats of StarClan, because he didn't look.
was this purposeful? did the erins make him look away so they could hide the fact that hollyleaf could be alive?!
also in sunrise it never said that she was dead. it just said that the tunnel collapsed. there could have still been an exit hole where air could get through, and where hollyleaf could dig her way out.
and when there was a drought, it was DRY. that could dry up the mud and make it easier for her to dig through.
for all we know, she could be at the sundrown place, skyclan, sol, the bottom of the lake!!! (I hope that she isn't at the bottom of the lake)
there is no proof that she is dead, but there could be many reasons for her to be alive.

I'm still hung up on how the tunnels happened to collapse right as she went into them. That seems so planned out! I mean, what are the odds??? But whatever. What the erins say goes.

I think she is alive. The drought has only strengthened my beliefe with that. With the clans so busy trying to survive a lone cat could have easily slipped past unnoticed. Especially someone who used to live in that territory.

yeah thats what I think too.
BUT! In a way, she could still be trapped in the tunnels. Because of the collapse of the tunnel, there was probably a lot of mud. And, of course, there was a huge drought after that. Mud doesn't evaporate like water. It hardens. That could make it even harder for her to get out.
But even if my theory is true, she may still be able to dig her way out because of the dry soil.
