Today, the title and cover art for the Sixth book of the Omen of the Stars series has been announced. The title is called the last hope and the cat on the cover is Firestar.

The end of the stars draws near. Three must become four to battle the darkness that lasts forever....
Jayfeather, Dovewing, and Lionblaze have struggled to unravel the mysterious prophecy that unites them. Now, as the final battle against the Dark Forest draws ever nearer, they must turn not only to Firestar, but also to ThunderClan and even StarClan for help. Will they be able to save the warrior Clans from total destruction?

I'd love to read his death scene. I just wish Brambleclaw could die with him.

I don't want Brambleclaw to die. I want him to leave Thunderclan and start his own clan. He deserves better

Brambleclaw should not die, but if he does, I would expect Brackenfur to become the next leader. Firestar was good in the original series, but then the Erin's screwed him up, and even though it will be sad when he dies, I can't say i am not pleased to see someone else lead ThunderClan. Brackenstar or Bramblestar would be fine. RiverClan has improved a lot lately with Mistystar. Leopardstar almost killed her own Clan, ShadowClan has had some rough time with Blackstar, but they haven't been under stable leadership after Cedarstar died. WindClan was screwed by Tallstar when he died, and Onestar has made himself look even weaker. Overall, ThunderClan and RiverClan have promising times ahead. Thats my opinion of how the Clans are doing now, and Bramble/Brackenstar will allow ThunderClan to become more powerful and stronger than it was under Firestar. If Hawkfrost had just killed him earlier, the Clans would all be powerful, especially Thunderclan and Riverclan.

I still think he should die. I want to see some chaos in Thunderclan when their leader and deputy die.

im kinda curious by the little blurb thing. why do they need Firestar to help them? maybe thats why he's on the cover? does he, like, play an important role for once?

I heard somewhere that Firestar's death was already written. So probably not.

I wouldn't mind Brackenfur to become Leader. He has much more experience.
