Ok this forum is way too quiet for a book coming out this month. So let's open up some debates. Your thoughts on the cover for The Forgotten Warrior:

Cat on the cover is Lionblaze and the one below is Leafpool (supposedly this was confirmed by the Erins.)
If this is true I have a few thoughts.
1. Lionblaze is featured because, let's face it, he is the only one of the three not to be and since Firestar is on the last one, this was his last chance to be. Sorry Hollyleaf.
2. Leafpool chasing the squirrel. I think it has a simple meaning behind it. That squirrel looks like it's about to get away from her. It has been mentioned that when Leafpool goes out to hunt she doesn't do so well. This is just further evidence that she isn't meant to be a warrior.

I am thinking some different thoughts from you... > 1. Yes, Lionblaze is on the cover. Probably because he has a main role in it, or something, but then again he doesn't really do much except eat, think and fight... 2. Squirrelflight is chasing the squirrel, because it's a squirrel. Maybe she turns out really sulky because Hollyleaf's back or something, and goes out to hunt a lot. Maybe....

1) Lionblaze is on the cover. He is the only one who didn't have a cover page in the Power of Three.
2) I think it's Lionblaze in the back, chasing the squirrel.

Thats true.
1) Its supposedly Lionblaze and he is probably my least favorite out of the Three.
2) Confirmed that is Leafpool and I agree with Mooncloud she probably goes back to being a medicine cat or loner after Hollyleaf comes back.

I wouldn't put it past the Erins to kill Leafpool.

I wouldn't put it past the Erins to kill Leafpool. Why would they kill Leafpool? There's no need. They tried once before, in Sunrise. Cat in the circle: Lionblaze, simple as that. He hasn't been on a cover since The Sight, and that was with him and his littermates. Cat below: Leafpool, chasing a squirrel. For all we know, this may not have any meaning. But, it could at the same time. I don't think it has any meaning, other then to show that Leafpool's hunting skills aren't the best...

That does look more like the Forgotton Warrior! I wish the Erins would use that instead.

Lionblaze had to have a cover to himself sometime... Dovewing got one before we knew officially she was one of the 3 before him.

That's true.
Leafpool chasing a squirrel? That definetly has a meaning. Look at all the other Omen of the Stars books. The cats on the back have been important in the books.
