Chapter 1
It was a cold night. A young cat took her three remaining kits to an elder bush. “Be safe my darlings”, she murmured. A couple of cats came by and saw the cat. “There she is! Get her!” yowled one of the strange cats. One of the kits dared to look outside and saw the cats chasing her mother. The little she-kit raced after them but then remembered her littermates were alone. She trotted back and vowed “I will take revenge on my mother’s chasers.” Her littermates looked at her like she was crazy. “Don’t worry I’ll take care of you”, whispered the little kit.

A cat raced on by and then there was a shriek. Marrow had caught her prey. Her littermates were very ill, and Marrow didn’t know how to cure them. Her mother had never come back. Marrow was alone. But she heard something and started towards it. Sadly a cat was lying in the alley. Marrow knew this cat. The cat had shown her how to hunt. “Poor Zaila, she had her whole life ahead of her.” This was the fourth cat that had died that was Marrow’s friend! Marrow’s long curved claws scored the earth beneath her. She still was seeking revenge for her mother’s attackers. She had followed a scent that seemed familiar but had led her to nothing but a dead rat. Marrow knew that there was a band of rogues in the Twolegplace, but never met any.
“Marrow is that you?” whispered a voice. Spinning around she saw Fallen her brother. “Fallen! What are you doing get back to your nest!” hissed Marrow. “But I feel fine!” “No go back and take care of Whisper, she needs you to look after her.” “But…” “NO go back!” “Okay mouse-brain.”, muttered Fallen. Sighing Marrow headed back with him and her sister’s breathing was shallow and fast. Whisper will never make it to the forest. Then by sunrise her sister’s breathing cleared and she was not coughing anymore. Puzzled Marrow looked around for any cat that had helped her sister but saw no one. Still puzzled she silently thanked whoever helped her sister, “Thanks whoever you are.”

Sadly Marrow walked along the Thunderpath. The band of rogues had killed her brother and sister. Now she was determined to destroy the rogues responsible. But then a monster came racing by and knocked Marrow off her feet. Now she knew the name of the rogues responsible, Bloodclan. She knew she would kill them all.
