I just finished reading Eclipse and I just don't understand why Windclan attacked Thunderclan. What ever made Onrstar do this? How could he have been such an ingrate after all Thunderclan did for Windclan? This smacks of complete treachery on Onestar's part. What are your thoughts in this?

I know! I liked Windclan before, but then they attack an I hate them. But i think it was because all of their clan was made up of rogues and kittypets. But I don't see why they would attack for that reason. I think it was a dumb move. it was Thunderclan's own buisness, not theirs and Starclan wanted Firestar to join the clans in the first place, and they never objected to it.

I HAVE THE ULTIMATE ANSWER TO EVERY WARRIORS QUESTION: the Erins felt like it.

I think that Onestar wanted to get a message to Thunderclan (But putting it in attack form makes Onestar just stupid) That Windclan can take care of themselves, and they probubly just wanted more land, like Shadowclan does.

Onestar should die already. He never seems to respect the other Clans, and he used to be Firestar's friend, but ever since he became leader, he's like obsessed with being in control and now he's a mean bully. Hope thats not a flame. DIE ONESTAR! HAIL ASHSTAR! ;D P.S. Is anyone thinking that Mudclaw should have been leader? Just a thought...

but then, who would his deputy have been? thats another thing to look at... Mudclaw should have been leader. Onestar may have more patience, but I can't really see that as a difference. His deputy could have been one of his followers or former apprentices.

I don't know, it was even more ridiculous that it turned into a full-out war between all four Clans. When the whole battle started for no reason! Probably the reason the Erins made the battle was so that Lionblaze could almost kill Heathertail but, they didn't have to include ShadowClan and RiverClan.

I'm not sure, maybe they wanted Thunderclan territory because they thought that Riverclan would cross their borders and claim some of their territory. (Even though Riverclan had no intentions of attacking them!)

I HAVE THE ULTIMATE ANSWER TO EVERY WARRIORS QUESTION: the Erins felt like it. LOL!!!!! I think you've got the winning answer right there. But just for giggles I'll add my theory. Onestar gave into the taunting that he was "Firestar's kittypet" (Erin's mentioned this somewhere). He wanted to prove that Windclan was a strong independent clan that didn't need Thunderclan especially Firestar's help. Firestar kept pushing to help like he did with Tallstar (and a little more persistent w/ his friend) and so Onestar did the only thing he thought logical. What is interesting is that Tallstar made his change in deputy because of a vision he saw of Mudclaw and believed Onestar wouldn't harm Thunderclan and would keep peace with them ... could Onestar have fulfilled the same vision by attacking Thunderclan? If Mudclaw had been made leader like he was intended to, I see Firestar backing off quickly and Mudclaw establishing Windclan as separate almost immediately. From there pushing for additional territory on both sides of the border, but not on the scale of a 4 clan battle like Onestar did. Oh and my solution for determining who should have been leader: send BOTH cats up the the Moonpool and whoever comes back with the nine lives becomes leader... but then I guess we needed an event to shock Leafpool into realizing her feelings for Crowfeather and have the kits... oh well.

I'm not sure, maybe they wanted Thunderclan territory because they thought that Riverclan would cross their borders and claim some of their territory. (Even though Riverclan had no intentions of attacking them!) That was during Dark River, when Hollypaw, Lionpaw, Jaypaw, Breezepaw and Heatherpaw rescued Sedgekit, Thistlekit and Swallowkit and stopped the battle. I remember Onestar saying something like, 'You know we are suffering, but you will not give territory to us. We will not beg'. Probably, almost definitely, not in those exact words, but something with the same meaning. He's still horrible, though, because that reason is even worse than the first one. Mudclaw should've become leader, even though Tallstar was right to make Onestar deputy instead.
